About Dr. Gupta

Dr. Gupta came to the United States as an international student on a Rotary Club scholarship nearly 25 years ago and enjoyed the extraordinary privileges and benefits of receiving an excellent education from two great continents. She earned a graduate degree in mathematics from Stella Maris College in India and an MBA and PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida. She had held a variety of positions in her distinguished career, including President and CEO of an organization with 400 employees and a twenty million dollar budget. She has won many award for her creativity and her ability to bring diverse parties together to create value for the client and the community.

Dr. Gupta is a highly sought after speaker who is also widely published and is sought after by the media as an expert on issues related to internationalization of higher education. She is the author of three books and many articles in academic journals and the popular press. She blogs at www.umagupta.com.
